A foundation will continue the work of defending Chapelet bodies
The association Tadeo Ortega and French organist promote an entity to continue to contribute to the recovery of the musical heritage of Tierra de Campos

Palencia, a province with the highest number of organs of Castile and Leon, in recent years experienced a significant recovery process of this musical heritage, thanks largely to the work by mid of the seventies started from Abarca de Campos Chapelet Francis French. French organist got back half a dozen bodies in municipalities such as Iberian Paredes, Castromocho or Frechilla. It was also the architect of the first organ concerts that were offered in different parishes Palencia, also makes more than thirty years.
In 1999 the cultural association Tadeo Ortega, headed by Luis Arranz, picked up her job and now wants to create a foundation to extend this legacy. "Through a foundation we can get more government assistance to continue recovering and preserving organs," explains Luis Arranz, who yesterday met with members of the diocese, which owns most of the organs of the province, to profile members of the board of the foundation.
The association itself has been responsible for creating an inventory of all bodies are in the province, and has made dating to a hundred. The latest inventory data from the eighties, and then there were only ten bodies in use, "what should be more like a DIY process of restoration", explains Luis Arranz. Over twenty years later there have been thirty instruments in use, "and in better conditions than were those others," added the president of the association. Others are remnants. Almost half of this hundred Iberian organs ever existed were built by the most important organist Palencia, Tadeo Ortega, who has been named presiding Arranz association.
Although since the eighties have recovered a dozen bodies, the association has also unpleasant surprises encountered in fieldwork by the parishes of the diocese of Palencia, as some bodies could be restored by then and have now disappeared. "Many parishes have found a body without using a cabinet that clogs and have gotten rid of him," laments Luis Arranz, quiensolicita publicly that use the organs, "because only then can survive," he stresses.
